Chuck’s Story

Chuck E. became disabled in 2005.  He always dreamed of having a home of his own with land that belonged to him, but he had some obstacles.  One obstacle Chuck faced was getting approved for social security.  This is a long and frustrating process.  He knew that sooner or later something positive would happen.

In 2012, he began his search for a home with land that he could afford, but came up empty.  Not giving up the fight, Chuck was finally approved for social security in 2013.  The amount he was approved for was less than he was expecting, but it was needed income.  He decided to take what he could get and continue pursuing his dream.

In September of 2013, he came across an ad on Craigslist for some land for rent-to-own through  He contacted Mike Kinney.  Mike gave Chuck the link to fill out the credit/background check online.  Chuck says this was the easiest thing in the world to do!  A few emails later, he met with Mike and Aaron Kinney and sealed the deal.

Chuck says he is now renting-to-own his land at an affordable price with no hassles.  He found a 1978 mobile home to move onto his land.  He is excited about remodeling his new home.
